My Experience with the Passenger Waves Sherpa Lined Changing Robe

As its name suggests, the Passenger Wave Changing Robe is designed for those moments of transition from wet to dry, but without the awkward dance of trying to shake your wet swimwear off beneath a small towel – we’ve all been there!

Instead, a changing robe allows for a seamless and dignified switch between your wet gear and dry clothes. It offers privacy, warmth, and comfort right on the spot, making it an indispensable piece for paddle board adventures, wild swimming, or simply enjoying a day at the beach.

Kicking off the year with an adventurous spirit, I set out for my first paddle board session, prepared for a chilly dip in the cold winter waters if I fell off my board, I donned my wetsuit and booties, eager to experience firsthand the ease of changing beneath this robe.

Anyone who has struggled into or out of a wetsuit knows the challenge all too well. However, with this robe, I had ample room to manoeuvre. Slipping my arms out of the sleeves, the robe rested comfortably on my shoulders, providing warmth and protection from the biting wind as I changed.

Fortunately, I remained dry throughout my SUP session but had I taken a plunge, the robe’s sherpa fleece lining would’ve been there to help dry me off as I changed out of my wet gear.

Passenger Waves Sherpa Lined Changing Robe Brest Pocket

This robe doesn’t skimp on features, boasting a zippered chest pocket for securing valuables such as a phone and keys, deep pockets for hand warming, and a large hood with drawcords for extra cosiness.

Though initially purchased for my adventure activities, my partner Becci has since commandeered this robe as her favourite everyday wear, with the “ridiculously warm and cosy” Sherpa fleece lining being the key allure.

“It feels like a warm hug on a cold winter’s day.”

And while the Waves changing robe certainly makes a statement, for those looking for something a bit more understated, it’s available in six other designs. Each offers the same great features but in styles that might suit different tastes.
