After a long day’s hike, there’s nothing quite like kicking off your boots, finding two perfectly spaced trees, and swinging away in a hammock for a well-deserved rest. Recently, I’ve been lounging in the Grand Trunk TRUNKTECH Double Hammock, and I think I’ve found my new favourite outdoor nap spot.
Lightweight, soft and super strong, this hammock is an ideal piece of kit for anyone looking to elevate their relaxation game in the great outdoors.

My Experience with Grand Trunk TRUNKTECH Double Hammock
Taking the Grand Trunk TRUNKTECH Hammock out for a swing, I was immediately impressed by its ultra-lightweight design. It weighs in at 425 grams but don’t let its lightness fool you; this hammock is as sturdy as they come. Despite weighing so little, it can support up to 500 lbs or just shy of 227 kg which is almost 4 of me!
Crafted from proprietary 40D 1.1 oz Diamond Ripstop Nylon, it significantly reduces pack weight and compresses into a small bundle that easily fits into my daypack. This makes it exceptionally portable and quick to set up, creating a ready-to-relax space in just minutes.
Comfort is another key advantage, the Trunktech fabric is an incredibly soft, breathable and quick-drying fabric, which will be particularly great once the warmer weather arrives. As for other features, I’m a big fan of the built-in stuff sack, it’s just one less thing to worry about losing and the reflective end-loops will be much appreciated when finding my way back to the hammock in the dark.
Overall, the Grand Trunk TRUNKTECH Hammock delivers on multiple fronts—portability, durability, and comfort. It’s straightforward, no fuss, and exactly what I need to relax and enjoy the outdoors with minimal hassle. Whether I’m setting up for a quick break or overnighting in the wild, this hammock is a game-changer.
