Privacy Policy
Your data, explained plainly.
This page explains what personal data this website collects, why it’s collected, and what happens to it. If you have any questions, get in touch at [email protected].
This site is operated by Wild Media Group Ltd, trading as SteveCleverdon.com. Our website address is https://stevecleverdon.com.
This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
What data we collect and why
Contact form If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not stored beyond what’s necessary for that purpose.
Email newsletter If you sign up to the newsletter, your name and email address are stored and managed via MailerLite. We’ll only use your details to send you the newsletter and occasional updates. We will never sell or share your email address with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
You can read MailerLite’s privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Cookies This site uses cookies — small data files stored on your device — to help us understand how visitors use the site and to improve your experience. Cookies don’t personally identify you, but they do identify your device and browsing behaviour.
You can accept or decline cookies in your browser settings. Declining cookies may affect how some parts of the site function.
Affiliate link clicks This site uses ThirstyAffiliates to manage affiliate links. By default, IP addresses are logged when affiliate links are clicked for statistical purposes. We have disabled IP address collection within ThirstyAffiliates. Other anonymised click data may still be recorded.
Analytics This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages are most visited and how long people spend on them. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised data including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used by us to improve the site and is not used to personally identify you.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Embedded content
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos or images from third-party platforms. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited those platforms directly, and they may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction with their content. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party platforms whose content appears on this site.
Social sharing
This site includes social sharing buttons. Using these features may share information with the relevant social networks, depending on your account settings. Please review the privacy policies of those platforms for more information.
Affiliate disclosure
SteveCleverdon.com participates in affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates and the Awin network. Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or recommendations.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the site — such as hosting providers, email platforms, and analytics services — where necessary and appropriate. We may also disclose data if required to do so by law.
How long we keep your data
Comment data and associated metadata is retained indefinitely to allow us to manage the comment moderation queue. If you’d like your comment data removed, get in touch, and we’ll action it.
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry.
Newsletter subscriber data is held until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and the right to request that we delete it, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain information. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
